Our student relations managers have weekly meetings and interviews with each student to make sure nobody falls behind. If there is an area of struggle, we are quick to allocate and help build the student’s success.

Career Support

We work with each student to start their career path. CT alumni work with our career coaches long after finding their first jobs. Students will work with their Career coach in Resume, Mock Interviews, Whiteboard, Behavioral Interviews, 1-1 Mentoring, LinkedIn, Employer Network, Alumni Networking, and working with students until they are placed into a job position.

Project Based Curriculum

Coding Temple is a hands-on program focused on delivering real-world projects to students. Coding Temple does not focus on Slides or Powerpoints, we believe the best way of learning is to apply it. 90% of your time students will be coding throughout the program, along with building over 15 projects in 10 weeks.

Capstone Project

Each student that attends Coding Temple will need to complete a Capstone Project. The Capstone Project is the final project of the program that needs to be completed by each student individually. The capstone project will include everything they have learned throughout the program and has to be a real working application that can be used in the real world. The Capstone project will also be use to present in front of employers.

Python is one of the most popular programming languages across various industries. It is easy to understand, adaptable across various platforms, and is frequently used by companies such as paypal, google, and netflix.

Resume

The career coach will sit down with each student starting week-6 of the program and start building out their resumes. The coach will speak with each student and figure out what they want to do after the program and understand what their programming strengths are. The coach will help each student complete their resumes by week-9 of the program.

Mock Interviews

The instructor will provide whiteboard questions every day to start the classsession. The whiteboard questions will be comparable to interview questions that students may be asked. During Week-10 of the program, the instructor will meet with each student and individually conduct a 1-hour technical whiteboard interview.

Behavioral Interviews

Students will work with the career coach to practice behavioral questions, conduct mock interviews, perfect their ninety-second pitches, and build self-confidence. The career coach will provide feedback for improvement.

IKM Technical Assessment

The second part of the interview process is normally a technical assessment that is given to students. At the end of the program, all students will be able to take a practice IKM assessment to get a better understanding of where their skill-sets are, but they will also be able to have the opportunity to understand what a technical assessment will look like.

1-1 Mentoring/Coaching

Instructors, the TA, student relations, the career coach, and alumni will take part in providing 1-1 mentoring for students. They will be there to help answer any questions and provide the proper guidance. If students are struggling in any aspect of the interview process, our team will work with them to improve their skill-set whether it is behavioral or technical. We will keep practicing and following up with students until they are comfortable and confident in their skills.

Student Showcase Week

Coding Temple will invite companies and recruiters to attend the 11th week of the program. Each company will have the opportunity to meet with each student 1-on-1. The student will present their final project to the recruiters. The goal of the showcase week is to connect the recruiters with the students and for the students to figure out where they can see themselves after Coding Temple. After the presentations, the recruiters will decide who they want to bring in for a final interview.

Hackathons

We will work with non-profit organizations in arranging a hackathon for the program. The hackathon is a great way to practice the new skills the students will learn at Coding Temple.

Linkedin

The career coach will work with the class to help update their LinkedIn profile and provide helpful tips and guidance on how to best use Linkedin.

Before Coding Temple, Sasha had experience in several fields relatively unrelated to each other and spoke mostly Russian. She finally decided to become a computer programmer, and after our course, ended up working for the largest web development consulting agency in the world, Capgemini.

SASHA'S PROJECT

Clay had come to us with loads of experience in a field that is complementary to coding. Even though he had a Ph.D. in Geodetic Science and 6 years of experience in Python, he still wanted to learn how to apply what he learned in college in a more meaningful way.

He was hired by Charles Schwab within 3 weeks of graduating. His project determines what percentage of Amazon reviews are fake. Even though it takes a couple minutes for the page to load (free server) – it’s worth checking out!

CLAY’S PROJECT

Before Coding Temple, Fiona was exploring multiple different teaching roles. She began to find out that teaching is a competitive industry, even with a Master’s Degree. She decided to attend Coding Temple and enter the world of computer programming, where jobs are bountiful.

She decided to base her project on cryptocurrency and even added an organized blog that auto-generates articles on cryptocurrency from other websites. On top of that, the design is simple yet excellent.
